Air abrasion is a process in which a special handpiece removes decay by propelling a stream of clean dry air mixed with tiny abrasive particles onto the surface of the tooth. It is most effectively used for removal of small discoloration and stains, and repair or replacement of small fillings. It can be used to expose hidden cavities, which we can then remove and restore with a filling material.
Our office uses the latest technology for digital radiography, which is rapidly becoming the standard of care in most high-tech, high-profile dental practices. Not only are the instant, computer-generated x-ray images impressive, it reduces your exposure to radiation and is good for the environment (no more processing chemicals).

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of custom-made, nearly undetectable aligners. And it's been proven effective in both clinical research and in practices nationwide. So whether your teeth are crowded, too far apart or have shifted since wearing braces, you'll have a new reason to smile. The latest technology makes it possible. Upon an initial examination, your doctor decides if Invisalign is right for you. Your doctor will write a treatment plan and take an impression of your teeth, which are submitted to Invisalign. Using the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign carefully translates your doctor's instructions into a series of precisely customized aligners. You then wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, moving your teeth, gradually--week by week, millimeter by millimeter--until you're achieved the intended result: straighter teeth. Generally, you visit your doctor no more often then you would with braces and the length of treatment is about the same. Space Age Titanium Implants Restoring your mouth with a dental implant is accomplished in two phases. The first phase of the procedure is the surgical placement of the implant. It's under the gums for several months while the bond attaches to it. After healing, the second phase begins. The implant is re-exposed and your new crown is made.
The First Phase: For the surgical placement of the implant, your mouth will be thoroughly numbed. An incision is made in your gums, and a channel is made in the bone to receive the implant. After the implant is snugly in place, the gums are closed over the implant with a stitch or two. Over the course of the next few months, the implant becomes securtely attached to the bone. The Second Phase: The second phase starts with surgical re-exposure of the implant. Another incision is made in your gums, and a small extension is placed to bring it above the gumline. We then make your new crown. In some circumstances, your implant and crown can be placed at the same time. The success of your implant depnds on your care of the implant at home, and our support through regular checkups and cleanings here in our office.
